Meet and Greet
Customers from our pop-up Meet and Greet sessions have said that they preferred talking in these informal spaces and have learnt a lot in the process.
Event 5. – October 2024 – Holme Grown, Grouville.
We returned to the venue where we held our first Meet and Greet event, but this time weren’t alone.
In keeping with the last two events we have held, we invited Claire Nicolle and Kirsten Lowe from Nicolle Marshall LLP to join us so that members of the public were able to discuss elements of Wills and Probate planning too.
We again promoted our free service to hold lasting wishes and handed out brochures.
Event 4. – May 2024 – NatWest International, Library Place.
This is a great venue in the heart of town, and there was good footfall and interest.
We were joined by Marianne Shaw and her team from Le Gallais & Luce giving members of the public an opportunity to learn about Wills and Probate at this Meet and Greet too.
We promoted our free service to hold lasting wishes and handed out a lot of brochures.
Event 3. – March 2024 – The Village Tea Room at St Peter’s Community Centre.
Those entering or leaving were able to stop and ask Julian De la Cour questions about funerals and funeral planning in Jersey.
Our motto is “Celebrating Life” and taking stress and decision-making away from loved ones who are grieving.
Members of Parslows Jersey joined us to discuss Wills and Probate.
Event 2. – October 2023 – Santander Work Café.
We are building awareness and helping to ‘break the taboo’ by taking the stigma out of talking about funerals.
It is not something that anybody should shy away from, and talking helps which is why we have been running these pop-up events in different venues around the island.
Thanks to everyone who came along for a chat and thanks to the café for the delicious coffee!
Event 1. – September 2023 – Holme Grown.
For our first ‘Meet and Greet’ event we set up at Holme Grown in Grouville, and what a pleasure it was to meet so many passers-by who stopped for a chat and a cup of tea or coffee with us.
Something we have taken away from this first session is that there are many of you who preferred the informal setting of a café, making it easier to discuss the matters of funerals.
Many thanks to Julian, Lalla and Carole-Anne who ran this on behalf of Maillards.
