Maillards Funeral Directors – Jersey’s only family-owned funeral directors is calling upon members of the Jersey community to nominate someone they know that would deserve a special wish. ‘Maillards Make a Wish’ is inviting people to nominate a friend or family member, who at any point in their life time had a special wish.

The wish can only be used locally with a Jersey company  and could be used within but not limited to the sports, arts, hospitality, retail, leisure or tourism industry.

Example wishes:

  • Afternoon tea at Longueville Manor
  • A day at the Minquiers
  • A round of Golf at La Moye
  • A ticket to attend the races at Les Landes

Anyone can nominate and the competition is open to anyone of any age living in Jersey, with up to three winners chosen each time.  Maillards Funeral Directors is encouraging the local community to think of someone who, if their wish came true, would make a massive difference to their life – for example, a positive impact to their social, emotional or mental wellbeing.

To nominate someone, please submit the form below. For all competition enquiries please contact funerals@maillardsfunerals.co.uk.”

Julian De La Cour
On behalf of Maillards Funeral Directors

“Maillards Funeral Directors is delighted to announce our Maillards Make a Wish initiative. This competition forms part of Maillards Celebrating Life, a new initiative which will see Maillards sponsor and support various local people and causes. The purpose of the project is to help an islander make their wish come true.  There are a lot of unsung heroes in Jersey and we would like to shine a light on them and give something back to the local community at the same time”.

Wishes that we have granted.

“A note to say thank you so much to Maillards for the lovely make-a-wish gift of a carriage ride.
We were able to spend a calming time with Ivor and the horse’s Larry and Dennis on Sat 18 May 2024. The weather was perfect.
After such a sad 2023 when my young son passed away, this was a rare treat and I whispered to my husband“ It is helping me smile on the inside as well as the outside..” Ivor let me feed the horses some apples as a thank you afterwards.
Thank you to the Maillards team for making a difference to those of us in the community impacted by grief and loss, kindness really helps.
