MOREL-ORCHARD, MAUREEN (née KELLY) Aged 96 years

Maureen passed away peacefully on Friday 31st July 2026 at the Jersey General Hospital.

Wife to the late John, and Mother to Nick, Martin and Jeremy.

Maureen will be greatly missed by all her family and many friends.

Funeral Service:

Relatives and friends wishing to attend the funeral service for Maureen are invited to meet at St. Brelade’s Church on Tuesday 25th August 2026 at 11:30 am.

Family flowers only please.

Donations if desired in memory of Maureen to Royal National Lifeboat Institution.


MELLOR, ALISON

Alison sadly passed away aged 65, suddenly but peacefully after a short illness, with her loving partner John by her side at Jersey Hospice on Monday 3th August 2026.

Daughter to Bill and the late Betty Mellor, sister to David, Jan and the late Kerry.

A cherished part in the lives of John’s sons Tim and Steve, their wives Ilona and Marta and a loving Grauntie to Zuzanna, Ella, Herbie.

Adored Aunt to Lianne ,Georgia and Rosie cousin to Mandy and the best of friends to Ange and Lynn.

She will be so sadly missed.

Our thanks go to the fantastic staff at Jersey Hospice who made her last few days so comfortable.

SIMPSON, Patricia (née Colin) ((Pat))

After a brave battle with Parkinson’s disease, Patricia passed away peacefully on 30th July, aged 74, in the loving care of the staff at Les Charrières Care Home.

A much-loved wife of the late Dave, and a loving Mum to Carol, her late son Owen, Sylvia and Rhea.

A cherished ‘Nanny Pat’ to her grandchildren, and an adored younger sister to Elaine and Maureen.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved by her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Pat will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and wonderful sense of humour, which brought joy to so many people throughout her life.

Funeral Service.

Relatives and friends wishing to attend Pat’s funeral service are invited to meet at the RJA&HS Crematorium Chapel on Monday 24th August at 11.30am.

Following the service, family and friends are invited to join us for light refreshments at The Savoy Hotel, where we can share memories and celebrate Pat’s life.

Garner, Beryl Rose (née Deffains)

Passed away peacefully in the tender care of Jersey Hospice on Sunday August 9th, 2026, at the age of 92.

Devoted wife to the late Brian Garner, much loved Mum to Julie and Karen, Grandma to James, Luke and Emily and Great Grandma to Isabelle.

Beryl will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

Passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Saturday 8th August 2026.

Beloved Husband of the late Grace, loving Father of Angela and Richard.

Father-in-law to Fiona and the late John, and Grandfather to Matt, Sam and Zoe.

Peter will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.

ADVOCATE MICHAEL M.G. VOISIN

The family of the late Advocate Michael Voisin would like to express heartfelt thanks to everyone for their love, support and kindness following the sad loss of Michael.

Thank you for your comforting messages of condolence, the cards, flowers, donations, and for accompanying us on his final journey.

Every card, every conversation, and every shared memory has shown us how much Michael meant to so many people.

Saying goodbye to him has been very difficult and he leaves a huge void in our lives.

Our heartfelt thanks also to all the staff at St. Joseph’s and to our home carers for their compassionate and tender care for Michael over the past four years, without whom we would have been lost.

Our sincere thanks also to Maillards Funeral Directors, especially Mark and Lalla, whose kindness and sympathy following our loss has given us comfort, and also to Reverend Phil Warren for conducting a beautiful church service to send Michael on his way.

Rest in peace dear Michael, you are deeply missed and will always be in our hearts.

It is with deep sadness we announce our dearest Chris passed away unexpectedly at Jersey General Hospital on Friday 31st July with his devoted partner Karen & loving mother Margaret at his side, age 62 years.

Adored partner of Karen, cherished son of Margaret & the late Clive, loving brother of Jenny & brother-in-law to Jab, uncle to Ian & family.

No more pain.

Chris will be deeply missed by all his family & friends.

In our hearts he will always stay.
