NICHOLS, Dr Ralph Anthony Hereward

It is with very heavy hearts that we have to announce the passing of Ralph, at the age of 89, at home on Wednesday 11th March.

He was comfortable and at peace.

Husband and Soul mate to Jayne, Dad to Edward, Brother to Cherry, Uncle to Stephane and wife Ruth, Great Uncle to Genevieve, Juliette, and Jack. Also, friend to the Le Boutillier family and many former colleagues.

What a wonderful life!! Geologist, Teacher, Sailor, Skier, Diver, Hockey Player.

Lover of life and his adoptive Island.

His passing has left a big hole in our lives, but in time that will be filled with many very happy memories.

Funeral Service:

Family, friends, and colleagues are invited to celebrate Ralph’s life on Thursday 2nd April at 11am at St Martin’s Methodist Church.

Interment to follow at the St Lawrence Parish Church Cemetery.

We hope as many as possible will join us afterwards to raise a glass to a life well lived.

BLAMPIED, PETER MOISON Aged 93 years

Peter passed away peacefully on Wednesday 18th March 2026 at Jersey Hospice Care.

Finally reunited with Lucille, his beloved wife of 64 years. Loving father of Linda and Janet, father-in law of Jeremy and Lester and a much-loved grandfather to Louise, Tom, Sally, Jess and Nicholas and great grandfather to Darcy.

Peter will be greatly missed by all his family and many friends.

LE LOUET, Doris Florence “Dolly” to all, née Rowe

Passed peacefully away in the loving care of Maison St. Brelade Care Home on 17th March 2026 aged 96 years.

Beloved wife of the late Denis Francis Le Louet.

Adored father of Daryl, David and Steve, adored mother-in-law of Steve and Debby.

Wonderful Nan to Ryan, Simon, Andrew and the late Nikki and Marc and Ryan’s wife Jenna.

A doting great Nan Doll to Jack, Harry and Charlie.

Dolly will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched.

MITCHELL Beryl Bertha, née Le Marquand

Wife of Dennis Mitchell, passed away at the General Hospital on Monday 16th March 2026.

Mother to Robert, Samantha and Pauline, grandmother to Stephen and Natasha, mother in law to Eddie.

Funeral Service:

Relatives and friends wishing to attend the funeral service for Beryl are invited to meet at St Ouen’s Church at 11am on Tuesday 7th April 2026.

A private committal will take place.


Bellamy, Ian Victor

Passed away suddenly but peacefully on 1st March 2026, husband of the late Ingrid, brother and brother-in-law of Jennifer and Kim and cousin of Anne and Michael.

Funeral Service:

Relatives and friends wishing to attend Ian’s funeral service are invited to meet at Baptist Church, Vauxhall Street, St Helier on Wednesday 1st April 2026 at 12 noon.

Private cremation to follow.

Poingdestre Anthony Peter “Tony”

Passed away peacefully after a long illness bravely borne, in the care of Jersey Hospice on Friday 28th March 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband to Sue, loving father to Sarah-Jane and adored Pops of Joseph and Isaac. 

He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.
