Maillard's Funerals

Arranging a funeral is a huge responsibility, with lots of decisions to be made. Taking control of your own wishes while you are able to do so reduce the stress and worry for those left behind, enabling you to have the send off you want, in the way you want it. It has the added benefit of enabling you to keep control of the costs.

There are three ways of pre-planning a funeral and the Maillard's team are able to give advice every step of the way.

'Lasting Wishes' - this is free of charge and simply involves putting your wishes down on paper. It takes about 15 minutes and you can do this online by clicking here.

If you prefer, we can send them to you in the post, complete them over the phone or you come in and chat them through with us in person, over a cup of tea.

Once you've done this, we'll send a copy for you and any additional copies you require for your solicitor, family member of friend. Having completed your Lasting Wishes with us, you are under no obligation to use us as a funeral service however we can be there to guide and support those left behind when you are gone.

If you wish, we can provide you with an indicative quote of how much your funeral would cost at this moment in time. You will then have an idea of how much you need to put to one side and if you so wish, you can pay us in monthly instalments. We also offer pre-paid funeral plans, please speak to one of our funeral directors who will supply you with further details.

Quotation - once you have completed your 'Lasting Wishes', if you would like to know how much it is likely to cost at today's prices, we can give you an indicative quote. This will give you an idea of how much you need to put to one side. If you want to put a regular sum of money aside for your send off, you can pay us in monthly instalments

'Pre-Paid' - You can also pre-pay for your funeral plan which gives you and your family peace of mind. At this stage, you would pre-pay the costs which we can detail for you in a quotation depending on your requirements. In return, we will guarantee to freeze the prices for our professional services'. Regretfully we cannot guarantee payments to third parties - the disbursement costs which are out of our control.
To help towards the funeral costs, people in Jersey (proving that they made Social Security contributions) are entitled to a death grant. Currently this is £785.68. For more information, please click here
