Community Bereavement Service

The Community Bereavement Service at Clarkson House is available to ANYONE in the community who has suffered a loss, regardless of the nature of the bereavement.

We aim to offer help and support to those who have lost a relative or friend and are having difficulty coming to terms with the bereavement. Death and bereavement bring many changes that are painful. Many people feel isolated and find that there is no-one with whom to share their grief. Enabling people to express their feelings at this time helps them to adjust to the major changes that they face. The service is confidential and free of charge.

Teenage Cancer Trust

Our Vision is a future where young people's lives don't stop because they have cancer. We make sure they're treated as young people first, cancer patients second and everything we do aims to improve their quality of life and chances of survival.

Around six young people aged between 13 and 24 are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. They need expert treatment and support from the moment they hear the word 'cancer.' We're the only charity dedicated to making this happen.

We bring young people together so they can be treated together, by teenage cancer experts, in the best place for them. We educate young people about cancer and work with health professionals to develop their knowledge so we can improve the speed and quality of diagnosis. And by funding research and working with our partners in the NHS, government and organisations both nationally and internationally, we strive to improve survival rates.

We lead the world in the care of young people with cancer. Together with these young people, their families and the passion of our supporters, we're challenging the NHS and transforming lives.

Victim Support

Anyone can be affected by crime - Anyone affected by crime can receive our help.

We give free and confidential help to victims of crime, their family, friends and anyone else affected. We give information, emotional support and practical help. You don’t have to report a crime to the police to get our help and can get support at any time, whenever the crime happened. We are not a government agency or part of the police.

Although we work closely with the police, courts and other parts of the criminal justice system, we are quite separate. The help we give is confidential and free. If you ask for our help, we won’t tell anyone without your permission – unless it’s an emergency and we think someone’s safety is at risk.
